Fantastic news.

When the club had just around 1,000 - 2,000 members back in the dark days I never thought this would happen in my lifetime.

Congratulations to all the staff, players and the great supporters of this fantastic club.

I remember going to Darling Harbour one sunny Sunday and they were passing around the plastic bucket for people to donate cash to save the club. I think that time was the lowest of lows - after losing so many games on the trot.

I was a member the very first year the swans played in Sydney. My medallion gave me membership of Maroubra Seals as well. It is wonderful to see how we have progressed.

My sentiments exactly. I remember buying my membership from the club on the Thursday night before the first game of season 1982. The lady taking my money handed me a membership ticket that was number 35. I thought back then we were doomed and would I have a club to support. Seeing us today with 40000 members makes me marvel at the work done by so many people to get this club to where it is today. Well done to everyone
