Laidler wouldn't be the worst replacement for Grundy.

I've got a feeling JPK is going to run riot this weekend...would love to see him go head to head with Mundy and give him a lesson in clearance work and contested footy. Mouth watering match up!

Video of today's training session is on the Swans website. Good news is Pyke, McGlynn and Kennedy look fighting fit. Bad news is it appears they spent half the training session playing the wrong sport.

Watching that, some of them seem to rate themselves at soccer, some fancy footwork in there.
When they have had the training camps here in Coffs they finished a couple of sessions with a game of soccer, just like in the video. The boys all seem to love it.

Yeah, forget KJ going to league, maybe Rampe has an eye on the A-league.

A match-up I would love to see would be Jones on Ballantyne. Jones would take his crap and return it in spades. Not likely to happen but it would be fun. I wouldn't be adverse for him to stay in for Shaw.

IF Grundy is out then Laidler is a must for me.

My preferred matchups would have Smith take Walters and Shaw taking Balla (won't take any crap from him) as Walters is stonger overhead. I can also see McGlynn taking on Ballantyne; Benny's a great tagger.

I think we can cover Grundy without bringing in Laidler, if need be. Reid would have to play back and along with Ted, Gaz and Rampe would cover Pav, Taberner, Clarke and Mayne. Biggs or Towers to sub.

Losing Grundy would be a bigger loss against Hawthorn where we need him to take David Hale. Good that no further news has appeared since the original tweet.

Looks like it's going to be Rampe on Pav. They would be considering Tom Walsh as well. Ted and Reid is not tall enough for Clarke, Tabner and Mayne. I would prefer Walsh to Laidler as be is a bigger body.

Patrick Stack from FoxSports says Grundy has calf injury but will be named in the side.

Laidler must be a lock for emergency.

Swans saying Grundy will be named and will play despite him appearing to have an issue with his calf.
Whatever the problem, seems not serious enough to keep Reg out of the game. If there was something, I'm sure he would have already gone for a scan and we would know the result by tonight.

After the resting of players last week, following the repeated "we're not resting anyone" lines, I'm slightly less inclined to believe whatever the club says about the availability of anyone this week.....

Walsh would be a big risk in such a final....... I would of thought Laider would be next in line, as he can play that 'taller role' a bit if needed. If only we had a fit and firing AJ to call upon
