    Luke Ablett on Finals

    Very well-written piece.

Luke may be one of the most balanced individuals to ever play the game. Humility here but he has a sense of humour too. I seem to run into him a lot as I left the SCG but one time when I saw him months after his kick to Cousins in the 2005 GF I said "you have to move on from that moment Luke" and he replied: "that'd be a lot easier to do if people stopped talking about it." We both laughed.

Now he's working with a charity?

Very good article - thoughtful, modest, and I'd assume true to life. I look forward to reading more from Luke.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I read this article earlier - fantastic writing from Luke. Always liked him as a player, and seems he can write too

Fascinating, but I wonder if he's too good for mainstream AFL media.

A good read. The basics, clearly told.

Great column. He's well worth following on Twitter too, if you don't already. He doesn't tweet about footy all that much mind you.

He's great value, Luke. Seems he got compensated for the shortfall in Ablett football genes with common sense and empathy.

                        Nice work. Respect increased.

As an Ablett, eliteness did not come naturally to NOG and hard work did. Played the team roll

                        thanks

A lot of the Abletts seem to be Right-wing politicians or Christian fundies, or both. Luke might not have been a champion footballer, but he sure got the brains and the heart.
