    The Group Of Death

The other side of the draw: The Group Of Death

    Hawthorn
    Fremantle
    Port Adelaide

There are some Hawk supporters slightly more nervous this week compared to last week.

    Who cares about Hawthorn supporters.

To be honest, if we make it, I hope either Freo or Port make it.

My experience with either of those fan bases is so much more pleasant than what I have ever experienced with Hawthorn supporters.

It would be great to see the Hawks knocked out in a prelim but definitely couldn't see it happening.

I was nervous that Freo would roll us last week - especially after their game against the Cats last year.

From here I think we've definitely got the easier run into the GF. But we're not there yet.

I think it is fair to say we have the better side of the draw but deservedly so. After all, we finished the home and away season as minor premiers.

Will not be a single tear shed in my household if Hawks lose on Saturday week but, agreed, not likely.

Yep agreed, and seeing as I am now definitely going to Melbourne on GF weekend, as I have booked accommodation and show tickets, if we don't get through and Port or Freo does, it will give me someone to sit in Fed Square, watch the game and cheer for.

Plus one but I can't bear the thought of our boys not being involved on the day.
It's my birthday on gf day and I will be in fed square cheer cheer cheering the red and white. Would be nice to attend but it's now a corporate event.

I've been to a few Port games in Adelaide, and their supporters are horrid.

I found them pretty bogan, but not as painful bogan as Collingwood fans.

Hawthorn fans are awful though - not looking forward to that part of the GF experience, should we make it to the GF and play them.

I was in the members queue two years ago for seats at the gf. I was there from around 3.00 am and was surrounded by hawthorn supporters both during the night and again the next day for the game. It's a great experience and it is really good way of getting to know people and while all of them are fervent and mad, they're the same passionate lot as us.
We need to be careful not to get to far ahead of ourselves, I rate north they beat us fair and square in the wet. I think they will beat Geelong and if they do look out.
Petrie has always worried ted and this new kid, brown looks very tasty. Not to mention their midfield or Thomas who all trouble us.
Geelong are always dangerous never more so than when they are weakened or underrated.

Many fans are probably saying the same about the swans

It will be good for us if Hawthorn get beaten. Assuming we win our prelim it means we would face an out of state team. Even though their supporters will travel, it wouldn't be in the same sort of numbers that Hawthorn would have.

This is true as far a winning goes, but we will lose the pleasure of beating Hawthorn. People will say that we didn't beat the best. The pundits will say If we had played Hawthorn we would have .................blah, blah. ?You know how it goes.
