Simon Goodwin has chosen to take the Assistants job to Roos at Melbourne rather than apply for the Crows job. This would mean he will be the next Demons coach when Roos steps down. Interesting he didn't even bother with Adelaide. But then again he has lived Adelaide, he played in two premierships with Adelaide. He knows how they treat coaches even legends, just ask Blighty. The other thing is once you leave Adelaide there is no going back. The footy club is still the same elitist place it always has been. Sensible Simon.

The timing of the Sanderson announcement and that of Goodwin was very peculiar.Simon Goodwin has chosen to take the Assistants job to Roos at Melbourne rather than apply for the Crows job. You would hope that Adelaide did not move on Sanderson to get Goodwin.
Goodwin will make a good senior coach. Ricciuto is supposably Goodwin?s best mate and Goodwin has made the wise decision to keep his friendship with Ricciuto 100% pure. Working together at the Crows could have put that friendship under alot of stress.
Best mates are precious and worth more than a senior coaching job. Well done Simon. -
