Just a word of caution on the Jake Lloyd regime. I'm sure the fitness experts have it covered so don't shoot me down.

His fanatical hard working regime sounds very similar to the early training regimes of Australian soccer legends Craig Johnson an Harry Kewell. They smashed themselves physically as teenagers to catch up and surpass other English kids. Unfortunately by the age of 26, both players were suffering injuries and losing their electric pace. In short they peaked in their early 20s and slowed down in their mid to late 20s. They reason being that they went too hard to early.

I hope Jake has his eye on this. We don't want him physically washed up at age 26.

Training 20 days straight at high intensity is idiotic. I challenge anyone to do 20 high intensity boxing sessions and tell me the results. You will most probably experience over training and injury.

Could the champion Red and White poster who talks about ACL injuries please give an expert opinion on what I've just said.

The 20 days straight training was before he was drafted. So far so good as he has not had one injury in 2 years except 1 week over as a precaution after a head knock. But true on the over training, it could be a danger.

I think Jake is going to be a great link player. I predicted (stab in the dark) the Mitchel will be a bigger "star" but Jake will play more games.
