    Where to watch the GF in Sydney

      Thanks Erica! The price of tickets for the GF is just a little too much bear this year for my family. I was thinking what else we could do and saw your post. The kids will love running around on the ground. Fingers crossed the weather stays fine.

              Does anyone know if you can bring food / alcoholic beverages to this event or are you stuck with what's on offer at the SCG concessions?

                  I don't know for sure, but I guess it will just be like going to the footy there where you can bring in your own food and drink. No glass, no alcohol.

                      Wow. Is this the first time they've had a live site? It will kill the Alexandria Hotel's business unfortunately, but a top idea for those not going!

                          I'm pretty sure the SCG has been opened up before.
                          I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

                              Yeah it will be packed!

                              Last year I watched the prelim against Freo there and there was hardly any room anywhere! Best get in early and save a space!

                                  How will the SCG event work? Seems a bit odd to me. Like will people bring deck chairs on the turf and watch on the big screen?

                                      Yes, or you can sit in the Ladies Stand. I imagine it's much the same as the day after the GF in 2012 (which we will hopefully be repeating the day after the GF in 2014!).

                                                  In 2012 darling Harbour put on a big show with the huge screens. SCG will just be the same.

                                                      Otherwise hit the Camelia Grove down the road. May be a few Dawks there though.
