I think our coaching staff have to have a good hard look at their tactics, Nearly every centre bounce Mitchell, Lewis, Riloi and whoever else was in there, were left unmarked. They had a loose players running from the back line towards the centre to take the handball and kick forward. We had 7 backs most of the day and they still could not man up. After Half time, Tippet was in the ruck a lot or off the ground, and Buddy on the wing. Sam Ried and Goodes was our forward line on many occasions and they were very slow, outnumbered and the ball just went straight back into their forward line.

Why oh why does Horse persist in having a loose man in defence all the time when you have to score goals to win the game. You cannot save a GF for next week - you have to win the bloody thing.

Jetta acted like he didn't want to be there and Gaz played like he should not be there at all. Absolute shockers from both those players who will need a big pre season to get back into the team.

I am still very frustrated by the performance yesterday not only of the players but coaches as well. Their tactics were very very poor.

How do you know what the tactics were? The coaches could do nothing about what was unfolding. Hawthorn played out of their skins and I doubt any other side would have got near them.

On the centre clearances you are spot on. This has been my hobby horse for years. But I doubt it is tactics but more our slow reaction time by our mids. How about putting Lloyd in there. He seems to know where the footy is at. It is not always brute strength that winds clearances. Try making the ball the objective rather than worry about the opposition player.
