Every time I read about a Delisted Free Agent being picked up by another club (whether they are thought to be good or not) it makes my blood boil.
I realize we may not have been very active this year but we weren't given the chance.

We are actually allowed to pick up delisted free agents. Just not any other kind of free agent. It's just that there aren't really list spots available.

Doesn't that mean that the hospital didn't disinfect the skin properly? I would think that suing a hospital for something like this would be difficult. All operations carry a risk of infection. They would only have grounds to sue if the hospital was negligent and that would be difficult to prove.

Tim Membrey has had a number of nice things to say about the Swans in both print and on radio. I liked this particular line in one article:
Membrey, 20, has moved in with West Australian Blake Acres
I was hoping that we would take Acres in the draft last year, but am more than pleased that we chose Zak Jones instead. But now that Tim will be Blake's roommate, he will be talking up the Swans so when Blake Acres is fully trained up by the Saints he can move to the Swans. I think Tim Membrey was a plant so we could get both Jones and Acres from the same draft.

Tim's got some new art work as well. Will be challenging Dane Swan at this rate.

Thanks for clearing that up Liz.

That will teach me to put brain into gear before engaging mouth (in this case fingers).

Still angers me that they put a trade ban on us.

On the subject of tatts, I always laugh when I think of a great line I once heard that said "when I go to a nightclub I always look for girls with tattoos. That way I already know that they are capable of making a decision that they will regret later..."

He won't need to be a stand out in order to play for Carlton.

?We have one active pick in the draft that we have committed to,?? said Beatson.
?We have got it down to a group of about 35 players we will consider and now it?s just a matter of sitting there and seeing who is available.?

Nice to see Jon Ralph describing it as "a bizarre decision ... that has shocked the AFL community."
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yes it will be a very interesting day. However, my gut feeling is that the Commission will not change anything and the only recourse will be through a legal challenge. I think that thy will not back down so as to "save face" viz like Asian mentality and this is meant no disrespect to the Asian community.

I can't believe we've still got to wait over a month to even get our objections heard.
IF the swans had bigger balls, they would have gone straight to the supreme court when they first found out about the unjustified sanctions.
It should have been done the Monday after the granny. An injunction should have been put on ALL trading until this was sorted out.
I'm pretty sure there were players out there that WANTED to come to the swans for next season... we had the money to take them too (all above board).
Now, by the time five weeks rolls around, the Melbourne media will call us a pack of whingers for daring to question the commission.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
