Signed up! The AFL is a dictatorship and always has been but at the moment it is lead by a weak leader who clearly gets influenced by bad press and is a puppet for a group led by McGuire! Bring back Demetriou! At least he had some balls and didn't make his decisions to please a few bitter club presidents!

I would love to know when Gil McLachlan was going to be in town next time ... to quietly (with TV cameras there) picket his arrival. This would stir up interest

Check the summer polo schedule. He'll probably be here for Polo in the City.

Maybe the swans should send out an email asking for members to sign the petition. Very quiet here in Melbourne looks like it has been all hushed up

I contacted the Swans to see if they would do that. Obviously they didn't.

I think it's more a matter of no one giving a rat's toss 'cept us Sydney Supporters. Articles to date probably don't have the click rates of other AFL stories so the media has dropped it.

We've had some reasonable support from the likes of Vossy but no one is interested, there is no groundswell of outrage.

We are reasonably large in number down in Melbourne but we have a bit of a stiff upper lip, it's what makes us so likeable.

I am not sure that no-one else gives a rat's toss. (What is the derivation of that phrase, by the way? I have no idea.) Emma Quayle has written about it. Caro has lent her byline to Longmire's views. And the AFLPA has made some noise.

I think part of the problem is that there isn't really much more to that can be written about it. It is a weird, irrational and, by appearances, vindictive measure that no-one can explain or justify. Once you have said that, which a few have, what more can you actually say?

It's a pity no journo's ramped up the rhetoric by dropping the C-bomb. "Is there Corruption in the AFL Commission?" or the like. It wouldn't have a long shelf-life I'd imagine, but it could put the shivers up Eddie if the ACCC or IBAC/ICAC sent Gillon a please explain notice

Taking a little longer than expected but watch this space - I've got about half of them so far. Thank you very much to everyone who signed and shared the petition, we've gotten to almost 900 sigs which I think is a great result considering that it's been achieved with nothing but forum and facebook posts.

It's time for us to display that bloods spirit and not give up - we're in this for the long hall.

Is our argument a little out of steam now that the media is reporting that the trade ban was actually our idea?

Isn't only Jon Ralph, Fat Eddie's stooge, that has reported that. I thought Andrew Ireland was specific about refuting it in his SEN interview.

I too enjoy the mid 90's rock stylings of The Spin Doctors.

I'm not saying it's true, but it is being reported, it has yet to be disputed by anyone in our party, and it may explain why nothing appears to be being done about it.
