I apologise for lashing out, Ampersand. Sincerely.

But I'm unusually affected by this latest call, much more so that is appropriate really -- it's just a game after all.

But with the @#$% we've put up with all year over the Franklin thing, to lose the GF like that, to see the back of Mal, to see the Hawks get Frawley for nothing (or rather paid for with pick #3 by the AFL), and now this -- I think I've reached my tipping point.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

Sorry guys, I just saw it in an interview that Dean did with the radio station that covers his former league in Colac

Strange that the club hasn't posted it yet but they've probably got bigger issues to be dealing with

Dean comes from COLAc? We'll lose him for sure.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

he was actually second ruck in one of the last games of the season. Tip went off sand he filled in quite well as it turned out. Very good leap on him. But Scott I would be looking to play a second ruck next year when the sub rule disappears.

Except the AFL has said the sub rule is not disappearing. They floated it in conjunction with reducing the interchanges to 80 and the coaches did not like that at all so it got canned. Would have been happy with that change as I think the way the interchange rule works at present is a blight on the game. Can't stand it when a player kicks a goal and immediately trots off to have a word with the coach. A very bad look. Far too much toing and froing onto the field.

Seems everyone has this news so I am backing it. A shaky start but got better. He will be ok. He now knows what is required and has had a sniff. Sometimes that's all it takes. There may have been a good reason it is not on the swans site. If the deal was done late Friday there wouldn't have been anyone from Media to report it. They would all have gone for the weekend.

there are many questions going thru my mind re Deano

i cant help but think of the transformation of Ted our favourite Ted and what Deano could evolve to !

I also cant help but think of the continual struggles of other players at the swans that were doubted by supporters...........

The struggle and reinvention of Deano in my opinion could make for exciting times not just for Deano, not just for his team, not just for his players but also for Blood supporters !

Dean like every blood has had to change their understanding of pressure, of accountability to your opposite number, of the little things that make or break a win or a loss at the highest level against the best teams in the comp

Im not saying he will go from the ugly duckling to Beauty Queen as illustrated below - tastefully i think

But what I am saying............is give Deano a chance..............all we are saying is give Deano a chance...................as Johnny Longmire has

all we are saying is give Deano a chance.....

all we are saying is give Deano a chance.....

all we are saying is give Deano a chance....
