    TLM Countdown 2014, Preliminary Final

    Preliminary Final
    Swans v North Melbourne

    19.22.136 to 9.11.65
An amazingly confident game from the Swans that the hapless Roos just couldn't counter, with Buddy having a game that even his detractors (and really-why on earth are some still complaining?) couldn't complain about with a finish of 5.2 goals, 23 possessions and 11 marks, but really this was one of those games where the Swans just look like the best made machine in the sporting world, they each knew where their teammates were, they knew what was going to happen and they played for each other the whole way through, It was a spectacular game to watch-not a tense game but a showcase of skills and teamwork. A personal highlight was Goodes playing his 350th game, going for his 3rd goal and haunting Sydney-Sydney chant being replaced by Goodesy-Goodesy.
Booking a place in the Grand Final seems only fitting to celebrate a wonderful players landmark game.

2 Goals to Jack. Hannebery, Parker and Kennedy among the best for the swans.

Bob Skilton Medal votes: Lance Franklin 48, Luke Parker 42, Harry Cunningham 40

    TLM Votes
    5 Lance Franklin
    4 Luke Parker

I love this phrase - perfect, especially in the context of the PF. A shame the cogs weren't greased a week later but that's a separate story.
