Agree with game against crows if this is the one I'm thinking of, Adelaide at AAMI. He single handedly kept us in the game, one of the most dominant performances I've seen by an individual player!
Goodes' best game?

I think his best game ever was about 2-3 seasons ago in a thriller against the Bombers. Would have been an Akermanis/Gablett-like 10/10 game if he had not missed the kick after the siren to win. BTE he almost ALWAYS misses slightly to the right when kicking from 45 or more....plus the 2003 QF. After the game BBB says to camera "get on Goodesy for the Brownlow".....even though finals don't count, of course.
Also in 2014 I think he kicked 7 or so goals with left foot snaps....worth making an edit there."I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005Comment

One of his best games, in my opinion, was Round 21, 2003. 28 possies, 20 hit outs, 6 clearances, 5 frees for. 0 Brownlow votes. Buckley was smashed by Kirk and had 17 possies (with 11 tackles), and no influence on the game. 2 Brownlow votes. It still irks me. If Goodesy gets one vote in that game he wins the Brownlow by himself.C'mon Chels!Comment

Goodes has played too many great games for me to pick his best, but the game that sticks in my memory the most was against Melbourne many years back, probably 2000. Goodes' stats were ordinary, but his impact on the game was immense. The Demons outplayed us for most of the game, but we just kept clawing them back. Goodes played second ruck to Stafford, but spent most of the second half following the ball, rucking and roving. Every time Melbourne broke away, he seemed to force the Swans back into the game through sheer desperation. In the end, Robertson kicked a couple of late goals, and the Demons got home.
I'll never forget the sight of Goodes half way through the last quarter, on all fours on the MCG boundary line, puking his guts up with exhaustion. Then he just got up, and ran off to the next contest. We'd all had a good look at his freakish skills and flamboyance by then, but that was the first time I realised just how tough and determined he was.
All the ingredients for a true champion!Comment

I couldn't name his best game - it was fantastic going to games when he was at his best and hearing /seeing other teams supporters panic when he got the ball ("S*** who the **** is on Goodsie was always the call ) - especially against the pies as they had no one who could get near him - have to be honest and admit it is hard watching him now - but great memories.Comment

It might not have been his best ever game, but I believe that the 2012 grand final was his most significant game. Redemption for 2006 and helping the team achieve greatness, while on one knee. Remarkable. As Bruce said, cometh the moment, cometh the champion.Comment

Fascinating man to watch. Level of elegance in his movements, I think that's what is fascinating.
I remember a game I think at Etihad, maybe 1999, maybe 2000, Rocket got right into him in front of everyone and he was in tears. He had a split webbing and a hand break I think, could barely move it, and Rocket still hammered him as he came off the ground. the coach lost me completely at that stage, it was unforgiveable behaviour. Cheered when he left.
Goodsey's game is littered with moments of style and effectiveness but often the ones that stand out for me are his acts of kindness. OK some staging could be eliminated, but the stop and see, hand on the head or arm or back of someone in strife. He for me is Uncle Goodsey.
I dont have a problem with him playing on. I also completely trust him to know when its time. Besides which MickeyO would get into him.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

But that game against adelaide was the most dominant performance i have ever seen from a swans midfielder. The crows had a midfield that we never ever beat and he beat them all that night. it was kind of wet as well from memory and he was just amazing.Comment

Im surprised no one has mentioned the 2012 qualifying final against Adelaide. He was awesome that day. I remember only being able to listen to the game, and all I kept hearing was the commentators mentioning his name. My subsequent viewing of the replay, confirmed he had played a blinder.Comment

I remember him doing a brilliant chip and chase on the wing at Manuka one day too....Comment
