At least the guardian mention he was a swan at one stage, the melbourne media have totally revised his playing career as being only a pies player.

He actually started with Melbourne, was rookie listed by them in 2001. Played 48 games over 4 years (according to Wikipedia) before he was traded to the Swans.. So he played senior AFL with three clubs.

Exactly right Meg. He was drafted by Melbourne and was an exceptional player. The Swans were very lucky to pick him up in a trade. Came at the right time, Jason Ball & Darren Jolly made a great combination. Probably the best ruck combination in the AFL at the time. They just pipped Cox & Seaby who were also great at the time.

Oh I know that but they dont even mention that as well. He is purely a pies player.

Still a swans player people must be thought of as such , probably not a loyal swan but, strange life's not great for everyone .Wonder if he made the money ?

Saw on a current affair that Darren's biopsy came back as benign. A great relief for the Jolly family.
