Melican is 194cm compared to Reg's 192cm so surely he has to be classified as a tall defender. Other than that it looks pretty good Matt.

Matt's doing it himself. As a fan of Major League Baseball, where it has been used widely for a long time, I think it's a fun idea.

Thanks Doctor. Posters should debate where different players rank in different positions. In 2014 players such as ROK and LRT fell down the depth chart from where they started in the pre-season. Players such as Cunningham, Lloyd and McGlynn would have risen up the depth chart rankings from where they started in the pre-season.

There is a definite change to the tall defender depth chart positions with the continued selection of X Richards and the non-selection of Aliir in the pre-season games. It appears that X Richards is ahead of Aliir.

                          1) Ted Richards
                          2) Grundy
                          3) Reid
                          4) X Richards
                          5) Aliir
                          6) McLaren
                          7) Davis

If the Gerald Healy rumour is true about Ted Richards hamstring then X Richards will move up to 3rd position and close to a senior debut for round one, depending on how the Swans deploy Reid.

I would classify Rampe as a tall defender, he has played on tall forwards in the last two years

Agreed. He's only 188cms but he's very athletic with a good leap. Extremely mobile too.
