Ummmm Maarrrrrr.... Collingwood players in trouble (again)

... and not a word out of Eddie Everywhere's mouth.
    Not. A. Word.

    Naughty, naughty collingwood-footballers-lachlan-keeffe-and-josh-thomas-face-positive-drug-test-20150330-1maznj.html
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Clenbuterol apparently , a fat stripper fairly popular amongst 'shredding' roided up gym types. Not exactly your accidental energy drink consumption type positive test. Bit more sinister

Also used in racehorses as a recovery drug. Gets them over muscle soreness quickly and able to have them racing in a short time. Probably one of the worst drugs an AFL player can use. I am sure it is not in energy drinks. One of the best known banned drugs in the world of sport. Falls into the minimum 2 year ban bracket. It looks like these 2 players have stuffed their careers. Not a real intelligent move by them.

Noticeably, Big Footy has suspended posting on this topic.

That's because Eddie is in charge of Big Footy.
They can only talk about what he says they can talk about.

His silence is just golden, isn't it?

(If I were the management of the swans, I'd be rubbing his face in it. Lucky I'm not management, eh?)

Imagine the uproar from Chins if 34 Sydney players had been cleared of drug charges & his 2 Collingwood boys tested positive ... & we're even suspended

Best results, for me, for the current charges would be 34 Bombers and Ryan Crowley get cleared of charges; 2 Magpues players get banned (with the NZ government further refusing Collingwood entry into the country for a game against the Saints in NZ for falsely accusing their meat industry of sabotage, resulting in a forfeit of that match)

I know we are way above this, but I really wish that our President calls a media conference to ask what the AFL are going to do about Collingwood.
In my books, turnabout is fair play.

Nothing until B samples are also tested. If they come back positive, somebody should start questioning Collingwood's club culture.

... if they haven't "ingested" anything since "eating meat in New Zealand", how will anything show on a B sample?
When is the B sample taken? At the same time as the A sample, or just last week?
Can someone clarify this for me?
                        Cheers

The B sample is taken at the same time. They do 2 tests in case somehow the first has been contaminated. It is very rare for the B sample to come back with a different result.

It's all taken at the same time. But the urine is put into two bottles: one marked Sample A and the other Sample B and then both bottles sealed (I think by the player themselves). Sample A is tested first and if positive the player is notified. Then Sample B is tested (the player or his representative is allowed to be present when Sample B is opened and tested).
So effectively it is one sample but with a built-in security against a fear or allegation that the first tested sample was tampered with before or during the testing process. The player or his rep can see for themselves that the bottle has not been interfered with since it was sealed and can see what happens as the second test is done.
This is why B samples virtually always confirm the original positive results.
