I would hope the message of the week in the after match reviews is that if you are going to make a skill error down back make it a long one! Good effort though boys, if only we'd come out with that effort from the start...

Did it hit the post or did it got the fweo leg which hit the post?
Good comeback but just too much to do in the end. That hanners turnover that led to the pavlich goal was the killer - we were away going the other way and might have taken the lead and gone on with it.
Showed some good character in the second half - we will be there at the right end of the season if we show that sort of heart."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Chalk that up to home town umpiring in the first half (did someone deliver the maggots a rocket at half time) and skill errors through fatigue late in the game. A freak called Fife had something to do with it too.Pay peanuts get monkeysComment

If that's the worst game for the year I will be very happy. Upside of Reid coming good, Lloyd becoming a solid best 22 player, Parker finally getting over his concussion makes for a positive outlook. We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!Comment

Selling the dummy seems to have gone out of the Swans game, Hanners and Macca used to do it really well. Hanners could have done with it then.
Freo had a four goal advantage with their big home crowd .
Glad we didn't get bloused for the whole game.Comment

Rohan was critical to the shift of momentum. He needs to play full games, perhaps time to rest Zucchini in the green vest.
If I could change one thing it would be accuracy. Back to Nicky D's workshop. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Don't mind losing with the heart we displayed in second half. Amazing turnaround in stats in second half. We ended up leading on all clearance stats despite a heavy deficit in hit outs. The stats that made the difference in the end were the ones on disposal efficiency and clangers. We even caught up quite a bit on free kicks. 26 to 20 in favour of Freo (but 20 to 10 at half time). A lot to learn from that game and should build confidence in a couple of players (e.g. Reid). Onwards and upwards!Comment
