    Scott Stevens

Was BOG for Adelaide Crows today

Looks like he will have a big year up forward as the Crows have lack of quality key forwards and I was a big fan of Scott Stevens, and looks like he will go on to have a good AFL career as a forward with Adelaide imo.

Might come back to bit us on the bottom - letting him go.

I believe it will. Just hope not against us.

This could have been his year with the Swans 50 / 50 - Now if he was going to get a good year it will be with the Crows.

I always hate it when any player is sent or drafted or what ever to another side. This is another one of those situations.

All we can do is hope that they don't hurt us! Either when playing us or become world beaters that make us feel that "why did we let him go thought process............

Not good enough to be KPP - and not enough room to play on the flanks... A servicable player that didn't step up enough..... Alway going to be a back up player to someone in our side

These types of players usually go better at their second clubs as it become now or never..... All the best to him - but don't hurt us!

I'm quite happy with Schmidt so far as we did need the inside midfielder more than a key forward (the trade got us two places further in the 2nd round of drafting, just in front of Adelaide who were rumoured to have taken schmidt with their pick) so i'm not too concerned, But good luck to scotty at the cows.

I really hope thats not how you judge players...

How many times has Barry Hall kicked maybe 2 out of 15-16 goals yet been our best player ? Exactly

The fact was he was BOG regardless of his goal ration within in team...

          Trying looking further than that

I think we should take into account the fact Stevens was one of the best every week for us during the PRE-SEASON but come regular season he was no where. I always thought he should of been tried down back and I think the Crows will have the same problem as we did.

Used to consistently win the horse race at Fox Sports Central on Swanning around! Can't recall many other glorious moments for Scotty on the field for us.

I don't think this is a decision that we will rue in the years to come. Good luck to him at the Crows!

IMO whether we'll regret trading him or not, depends on Micky O. IMO Stevens was always most comfortable at FF, if Micky can't stay on the field due to his dicky knees, Stevens would have been a logical replacement.

Scott Stevens will never bite us on the bum. He is simply not up to AFL standard. May have the odd flash of brilliance but could not possibility play out a full game at any level.

He is not going to bite anything, there is a reason he was let go, not up to the standard of the AFL level
                        - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I'm not going to get into the "He's not going to make it or what ever..." I only get about 70% of my guesses right and I still rate Warfe as a possibility for a first round selection....

So who would count on my word for anything anyway....

Scotty had the chances and didn't lift to the requried level at the Swans - my guess he won't over there either.... However to say he can never play a good game...? Big call... Who knows what you can learn as a retread player?

Scott Stevens scored 2 goals in a match last weekend . He seems to be going OK with Adelaide.

                              Update on Stevens

Scotty played very well on the weekend, continuing on with his good preseason form.

                              Had 16 possesions - 6 marks - 2 goals and 3 behinds.

Was rated 3 best Crows player in their loss to Brisbane.

Keep up the good work Scotty - I was always a fan of yours.
