Positives from 2015 to date

I echo Mug Punter's choices for positives. Most of what I would say has already been said, but I'd add:

- The way supporters have united over the COLA and trade restraint matters and Goodesy's treatment. Despite our up and down performances this season, I've never felt more part of a genuine community of fans than I have this year

- Brandon Jack finally starting to emerge as a genuine first team footballer

- Reg having a very quietly consistent year, far more so than he's getting credit for

- The score briefly being 69-69 on Friday night. Much immature mirth echoed around Bay 29.

Agree with much - nay, most - of what's been posted.

One of my particular highlights this year has been the emergence of Jetta the leader, and his ongoing maturity as a player. He may not have the media fawning over him as much as in 2012, but he's a far more rounded player, and some of his kicking has been exquisite. At the start of the year I'd have been relatively nonplussed about the prospect of him leaving. Not happy, but not devastated. Now I am desperately hoping he wants to stay in Sydney, and that the Swans are able to accommodate whatever salary demands he has (within reason, of course!)

He is cool and composed, and his vision and execution are amazing. He is so important to our side it's not funny. I've said before he's 'arguably' our most important player. That might be stretching it, but he's nearly irreplaceable as we have next to no one who can do what he can do. Please stay Jetta, I'd happily contribute a few bucks if it would help .

Yes absolutely, if Goodes is remembered ( as he should be) for making a stand then Jetta will also be remembers for that moment. Great moment, great man.

What I've loved about Jetts this year is his consistent use of his pace to get him out of tight, contested situations and able to move the ball on effectively. It's certainly been another string he's added to his bow. He is so important to us now.

The emergence of Typo as a real ruck option. His work after ball-ups (is that a word?) is becoming Mummyesque. I just wish he was kept forward at times when he was obviously dominating.

Couple of positives announced today, Hird gone and new TV deal.

Last TV deal was for $250 mill per year, Salary Cap about $10 mill this year.

New TV deal is for $417 mill per year, that's about a 66% increase so expect the Salary Cap to rise by at least that much from 2017 to $16 mill per year.

That's very good news because Buddy will be much cheaper from 2017!

He has been great and he is definitely the go to man to get the ball forward, some of his field kicking has been exquisite, but some of his kicks at goal have been very "lazy" kicks going nowhere.
He needs to start nailing some of these to become a far more dangersous player.
