    The New Deal

Apparently the new TV deal is going to be a big one.
If the AFL removes debt, keeps the basic status quo and saves the rest for the future then the future of Australian Football is assured.
If people get greedy then the cost spiral continues and ultimately there will be trouble for Australian Football.
    give it to the game

Indeed - the Swans risk on Buddy seems much smaller, given there is likely to be a significant increase in the salary cap as a result of it in time.

Any idea if the ace coverage on FTA for NSW is going to stay?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

          Apparently it is!!

But more importantly, does anyone know what happened on Million $ Minute?
We missed the last 15 mins so they could show the entire press conference.

A VOICE FOR THE AFL's ORPHAN

I like Martin Flanagan's writing and try to read whatever he publishes about football. I think this one's a corker.

An open letter to AFL boss Gil McLachlan: show Tassie some respect

It would do the game a great favour if the AFL sent Melbourne to Tasmania, preferably as the Devils.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
