As serious as this offence is and I know he shouldn't of done it, I have huge respect for Hodge. Let's not forget Buddy did the same thing.

Yeah, I might have jumped the gun there with the glee, but I just thought it was funny when I first heard it. I realise we shouldn't make light of drink driving, but it's Hodgey!! A Hawk.....a sniper I see the Seven/AFL publicity machine has rolled into action with a halftime Hamish McLaughlin interview with Hodge to smooth things over for the premiers-elect

Yeah, I don't think it's funny at all.

Also I agree with the Hawks in not taking further action as I don't subscribe to the "doing the job you love means you carry a social burden by default" argument that sportspeople seem to inherit.

If it was Sam Mitchell, I might've gone in . I've met Hodge a few times and he's genuinely a nice bloke, he obviously makes some bad choices on the field and gets aggressive and that's why some supporters don't like him but hey, we had Barry Hall who did the same thing. Funny thing is, I met Barry Hall at a pub and he was a great bloke too.

It's always funny if no one gets hurt! Get a sense of humour, or drown in PC seriousness!!! It's up to you.....

You seem like a great bloke, with a great sense of humor.
              Thanks for the advice.
