Pyke to announce retirement at B&F

I think this is slightly different to corporate life. When a person leaves an employer, it is not generally as a complete change of career, which is what Pyke would be doing. In any event, I don't have any problems with Swans persuading him to stay (if that's what they've done). In fact, I think we really need him to stay on as I'm not as upbeat about Nankervis as many on this site.

I wonder if he (and they) are holding off to see what falls out of the trade period. If we get Sinclair, then Pyke might go ahead with the retirement, otherwise he might hang on for one more year.

Radio Triple M announced this Morning that Mike Pyke will definitely retire. But then again it is triple M who said it???

Mike Pyke is a classy guy. Great retirement pic. I was a big fan and it's sad that he struggled the past 2 seasons with injury after having such a stellar 2013. He gave it his best and he's left on his own terms. Congratulations Mike.

I disagree, it was his call obviously being contracted. The club let him handle it and told us he was weighing up his options when asked. Here we are.
