Will all the talk about VW in the news lately(emissions software) affect their sponsorship with us?

Pros they need some good PR exposure
Cons they may not be able to afford numerous sponsorship deals
I wonder what priority the Swans deal has amongst all of their sponsorships.. Also would be interesting to see Swans reaction to the whole thing too. Do they still see VW as a good partner?? -
I aint fussed or biased.....

I think our jumper being one of the most advantageous to be on in Australia will have VW prioritise us if they cut back on advertising. The swans behavior, well hard to say. stand by our family or take the high ground and say not in our house?Comment

If its all about how this club's image is portrayed, then....... what choice would the Swans have? VW lied to the world for financial gain. ... And thought they would get away with it.
I think the Swans are in an nonviable position. Dammed if we do, dammed if we don'tIf you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

The only real negative is the potential public image of being associated with a company that has made a pretty ordinary mistake. But if we're honest with ourselves the majority of the general AFL public wouldn't have even heard of this story.Twitter @cmdil

Likely thing will be that VW are going to be hurting for money (as sales drop, the inevitable slew of lawsuits) so there mightn't be as
much money to spend on sponsorships. Footy clubs accept money from all manner of companies all the time, and the reality is if you look hard enough there probably aren't too many of these big corporations that are as pure as driven snow.Comment

When a company is in trouble, the advertising and marketting cranks up. They have a lot of bad PR to make up.Likely thing will be that VW are going to be hurting for money (as sales drop, the inevitable slew of lawsuits) so there mightn't be as

If they go broke, or withdraw from the Australian market, then it will hurt the swans.Comment
