QBE were mentioned at the B&F, but Volkswagon weren't (and for good measure, neither were Citi).
Make of it what you will.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

If the Swans decide being linked to VW is untenable......

There would be a myriad of companies lining up to take VW's place.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

I thought I heard both of those mentioned, but as you were there and I wasn't maybe I am wrong.

Yes they were both mentioned in a low key manner immediately after the thanks to QBE as the major sponsor.

Apparently Sydney Swans have the best corporate sponsorship out of any AFL club so it shouldn't be too hard to replace VW should they depart. Our big 3 sponsors (QBE, VW, Citi) all pay $1m per year to be on the match-day gear (guernseys and shorts)

You'd think that level of corporate interest might count for something in the grand scheme of things wouldn't you?

New VW Aus boss Incoming Volkswagen Australia boss discusses ?dieselgate’ and beyond an excerpt from the article

?It?s like asking a diehard [Sydney] Swans (the AFL team that Volkswagen sponsors, by the way) give up because they lose a couple of games. No way. It doesn?t worry me. It worries me that we have some reputation issues, but if anything I think it?s a motivator to get it right.

?Something has gone wrong, it has to be fixed.?

Good to see the PR goes both ways. We mention VW and they mention us.
