    Vacant numbers

    Vacant numbers are 2, 14, 32, 37, 38

    - Talia could take 32 as that was his number at the Dogs (as Mummy did with #41and Buddy with #23)
    - 37 maybe retired for a year?
    - What to do with 14

    Any suggestions?

Leave 37 for a few years I think.
14 can be left for a year as a reward for someone to step up this year.

Way too much pressure for anyone to take #37 anytime soon.

Mills could be a candidate for 14, though he might take a different number to begin with.

Mills will likely take 14 or he may take 37

37 should be retired for a season who ever wears it next year may still get booed

Can we set up a request to Swans that 37 be retired? Over to Andrew on twitter, back in a minute....

Mmm, my initial response is that we think this a lot - Kel retires, then retire the 14, Luffy retires, retire the 34 etc etc. Pretty soon we'd be using a small font.

Goodes retires - I see that as different on the one hand (the others were very, very good, he is exceptional), but on the other hand maybe he'd like the number to go on, his locker still be used, to be part of a tradition that starts with Bert Lucas and goes through Adam's fantastic career and on for generations.

(why is Hilton Kotzur listed twice on the wiki).

Don't use 37 this year at least for obvious reasons it's a big number to carry.

Happy for a died in the wool local like Mills to get 14.

                    Agreed.
Unless there is someone Adam thinks should be wearing his number like Jude did

What if Buddy wanted to wear it ?

Somehow I think Adam would be ok with that.
Might be a fresh start number for Buddy too

Yup I found it sad that despite the auspicious careers of Steve Hedley & Craig Davis in the number 60, no player has been deemed worthy to wear it at the senior level since. Abe Davis wore it for us in the NEAFL, I think.

Would that be a moth sprayed with insecticide?
