    must admit with the extra years experience and another AFL pre season for a lot the players below our depth looks ver strong for ressies

    hopefully this translates into to better depth to top up Snrs

    You'd expect that with a few injuries and opportunities that Mills, Hewett, Sam and maybe even Dunks or Rose would be playing a bit of senior footy but I take your point that I'd expect the Ressies to be considerably stronger. I'd be hoping Talia is a starter in the seniors too.

    And I know it is not the remit of the Swans to strengthen the standard of the local comp but the reality is that the standard of our toppies should be a pretty good reflection of the success or otherwise of the academy system. Likewise, over time, you'd hope that there are a batch of about 8-10 academy kids a year that become elite level players at SFL level. Over time that should substantially increase the quality of the local comp
