On the first day of Christmas . . 2015 TLM count rounds 1 and 2

Some of you might have been wondering whatever happened to the 2015 TLM. The rest might even have forgotten what the TLM is...but to prove beyond all doubt that Santa is, indeed, a Swans fan, he has squeezed down the RWO chimney to deliver you the first instalment of the 2015 count.

    Round 1 - Sydney 10.12 (72) Essendon 9.6 (60) at ANZ
    Final quarter blitz
    snatches win from tiring Dons.
    Isaac's first seals deal.

    Sydney 0.1 2.7 3.8 10.12 (72)
    Essendon 4.3 5.5 9.6 9.6 (60)

    Goals
Sydney Swans: Franklin 3, Tippett 2, Bird 2, Laidler, Jack, Heeney
Essendon: Cooney 3, Daniher, Colyer, Watson, Heppell, Melksham, Goddard

Brownlow: 3 Howlett (Ess), 2 Jack (Syd), 1 Tippett (Syd)
    B&F count: Kennedy 41, Hannebery 41, Jack 41, Parker 41, Franklin 40

    TLM Votes

    5 Luke Parker
    4 Josh Kennedy
    3 Dan Hannebery
    2 Lance Franklin
    1 Isaac Heeney

Young Heeney marks his debut not only with his maiden goal but also with his first ever TLM vote. I suspect it will be first of many over his career. 14 players polled votes.

    Round 2 - Sydney 14.8 (92) defeated Port Adelaide 6.8 (44) at Adelaide Oval
    Suffocating Swans
    deliver blueprint of how
    to tear Port apart.

    Port 1.1 4.2 6.5 6.8 (44)
    Sydney 3.1 7.4 11.6 14.8 (92)

    Goals
Port Adelaide: Ryder 2, Schulz, Wingard, Westhoff, Monfries
Sydney Swans: Franklin 3, Jetta 2, Hannebery 2, Towers 2, Tippett, Rohan, Jack, Lloyd, McVeigh

Brownlow: 3 Kennedy (Syd), 2 Hannebery (Syd), 1 Jack (Syd)
    B&F count: Kennedy 45, Hannebery 45, Jack 45, Franklin 44, Rampe 40

    TLM Votes

    5 Josh Kennedy
    4 Lance Franklin
    3 Dan Hannebery
    2 Kieran Jack
    1 Dane Rampe

Some familiar and predictable faces continue to make the pace in the second round but opinions varied considerably amongst voters, with 15 different players polling votes.

    Leader Board

It's early days yet, but the leader board looks like this after two rounds:

    9 Josh Kennedy
    6 Dan Hannebery
    6 Lance Franklin
    5 Luke Parker
    2 Kieran Jack
    1 Isaac Heeney
    1 Dane Rampe

Thanks Liz. The Power game is one I have left on the DVR. The Boys were in charge from the first ball up (which happened while those fools behind the goals were still singing "their" song.)

Watched the Power game this morning as part of JPK's superstar month and we were genuinely unstoppable...the midfield was a well-oiled machine and our clearance work sublime! Makes me think that we will miss Jets though...he was sublime.
