It's clearly the reserves whiteboard. Those were all topup players last season.

I'm not familiar with all the names mentioned but as of last Wednesday, one Academy player definitely still training with the full squad was Will Gowers. He was manning up with Dan Hannebery in the drills and loving it.

Definitely the toppy list. Can't remember which game they were all in, but remember being intrigued with Baron-Hay's blood lines.

I'm afraid anything I tell you would through rose coloured glasses as I've seen him develop since primary school and whilst he is a great prospect he may not be high on anyone's hit list due to his stature.
He is a good matchup for Hanners as they are similar builds, hunt the footy and have strong work ethic. He has good skills either side and is ball magnet in junior footy.
It will be interesting to see how goes in the two's.

He'd have to be a son or nephew of Andy Gowers surely?

No to son,he could perhaps be a relative but given that Will grew up in Sydney, and I think, Andy Gowers hailed from Tasmania that might be a bit tenuous.

Andy grew up in Melbourne - a Xavier boy. His son is/was training with Carlton and, coincidentally (I think) named Billy.
