I cannot understand how Nic Newman is not on this list, surely he must be promoted to senior list in lieu of AJ.

He was a standout last Friday and easily the best of the rest after Hewett.

Marsh and Papley are only rookies left standing.

The Hewett family will be happy if both boys get a run against each other - hope George goes well for us

Seems quite a small in stature side for Port; with only a few talls and no genuine ruckmen. Hopefully this will see Sinclair and Tippett putting it straight to our inside midfielders, and thus, plenty of attacks being generated.

We are never going to know the true level of 'niggle' injury any of them are carrying, and the kid is - well - a kid. He has a lot of physical to match. Not all the kids are Hanners or Parks right from the getgo. I like him. There is always a wait and see aspect here. That's why I love going to the ressie games. Insight into the real players, those who 'will' and those who 'wont'.

Most senior players who are not listed are known to be in some stages of rehab except Abe, Derickx and Kieren. They all played last Friday - so should not be anything serious. However, with Kieren not listed and McVeigh coaching, who will act as Captain? Luke, JPK or Smith?

I read during the week he'd be missing due to a hamstring strain.

                  Hanners captain maybe, or Parkes.

Primmy are you talking about Newman? If so 'kid' is not a term I'd associate with him. Papley yes. Not nick as he is 23. He won the Fothergill/Round Madal as the 'Best Young Talent' in the VFL. He is a 'Mature Age' player Primmy.

Rose omitted - had high hopes for him this year, hope this isn't an indication he's slipped down the rankings.

                        Looking forward to match reports.

Considering the team has been practising skills more this pre season, they are playing no differently than previous NAB games.
Callum Mills has most possessions to 1/4 time with 9

Stats at half-time from The Roar support your point (unfortunately):

"The Swans are leading just about every stats board other than the scoreboard (at half-time)

                              177-119 possessions, 25-19 Clearances inside 50s 28-18

                              Groan!
