AFL top 10 players (taken from Bigfooty)

I am going to do it like Wallsy. Based on if everyone was 100% fit.

    1) Voss - the best player in the past 5 or so years, he is the captains captain. The Rolls Royce of football

    2) Buckley - as much as i hate to admit it, he has proven himself over and over again for the past 10yrs. one of the best but probably the most consistent.

    3) Goodes - Goodesy is already a star, how could he not be with a brownlow already around his neck at age 24. still got a lot of years of top class footy to go. Will be remembered as the best utility in the games history. Able to play in literally any position.

    4) Loyd - Maybe the last of the true FF's. Essendon depends on him more than any other team depends on a player. The only one a chance to kick 100 in a season. Will go down in the top 10 FF's the games has seen.

    5) Black - The class that is brisbane is catilised by this man. He has the runs on the board to prove it too, a class act and one of Brisbanes greatest.

    6) Harvey - To win 2 Brownlows in a row, you have to be good.

    7) Crawford - slopwn down in the last couple of years compared to his best, but is still a great player. Has a brownlow which backs up his claim and has had to carry an average side. A top class midfielder. A TOTC for hawthorn.

    8) Mcleod - The ferrari of football. He is a champion midfielder with excelent skills and pace to back it up. An absolut gun.

    9) Hall - Might seem biased, and there are a lot of players i could have slotted into number 9 or 10. But i surely belive he is the best CHF in the game after last season. Better than Brown and Tredrea. After this year my selection should be proven. Able to kick more goals than Brown and Tredrea, and also able to get others involved in the game. his skill at ground level is uncanny and can match it with any midfielder. The only chink in his armour may be that his contested marking could improve a tad.

    10) Scarlett - The best defender going around and he is invaluable at a time when top defenders are hard to find. One of the first players you would want on your list.

NB - This is just my opinion and is not neccesarily correct due to the fact that choosing the top 10 players in the league is highly debateable.
Adam Goodes - The great red and white hope.

I have to say that personally, I would have Hird in my list and he would be ahead of Lloyd at the exclusion of Harvey from that list.

Harvs used to be a great player IMO so therefore not quite Top 10 material.

Hird's ANZAC Medal winning performance was truly remarkable and he also creamed Freo in the Semi.

Hird is the difference between a winning Bombers outfit and a losing one.

I went to the Bulldogs-West Coast game on Sunday and Cousins was brilliant to watch - the Bulldogs had two players tagging him and he still dominated the game. I'd definitely have him in my top ten, probably at Harvey's expense (for the same reasons TheHood gave, no longer at his peak).
