Great effort by him. He has done nothing wrong since given an opportunity in the seniors. Fingers crossed his confidence and the way he plays can last through a finals campaign. Maybe, just maybe, we have the next Alex Johnson - someone who slots right in and performs above their age and experience. We really have been blessed this year with our new team members being able to fit right in and contribute to the team winning.

Interesting that we essentially got Aliir for Jesse White.

It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Does Capper qualify as 'cult' hero?

Kinda...but not in the same way as Stefan Carey.

Probably, but it may be one of those cults, that regularly embarrass themselves by predicting the end of the world.

Sanford Wheeler!!! Surely dreadlocks & riding a skateboard to training satisfies the criteria?

I believe he was also American.. Would have been a cult figure if he was not one of the worse footballers to ever play for the red and white. Should have taken skateboarding as a profession.

He was Matthew Wheeler for a while too. Back in the States now I think.
