Ugg he has been impressive no doubt but could you offer the stats for Nic Newman over roughly the same period as I'm getting more and more frustrated as a supporter of him being continually overlooked at being upgraded as i feel he would add a lot of value to the senior team going forward!

I've liked the look of Newman on the three occasions I've seen him, agree I think he would suit us. Worried he will turn into another Shane Biggs going elsewhere at years end and prospering.

Happy to see Foote rewarded for consistent strong NEAFL form as well.

I can well see us upgrading Papley. Marsh and Newman this year and O'Riordan and Foote next year.

I see no reason for us investing so much in the rookies and letting them go to other clubs and with the possible exception of Biggs we are pretty loyal to our rookies.

A third year rookie listing next year for Foote won't hurt him at all, he is still young and there will be opportunities.

But he may well decide that the lure of senior footy and an increased pay check at year end is too good to refuse, and I would not begrudge him that for a second.
