    2016 Ladder

Is this the tightest race for the flag in years.
The 8 teams in the top 8 haven't changed since round 6.
There is now a 3 game gap between 8th and 9th after WC beat the Roos.
There has been a 2 game game since round 12.
I said then that it will be hard for another team to get into the 8, now it seems an impossibility.
Both the Cats and giants dropped 4 spots with a loss in round 16.
We We just have to knock the Hawks off their perch!!

Quite amazing to watch it unfold.

If GWS has won, Geelong would have slipped to seventh and we would had the chance to have two Sydney teams in the top 2 next week as well.

Top four is really hard to call at the moment. Next week's game will be huge as it could be a difference between being in the top 2 and finishing 5-6th!

I think it will be all about how much they want that top 2 position. They had an opportunity to be a top side twice and they blew it. If they lose this game, it's probably a sign they are probably not ready to play for the flag.

If we win next week, we give ourselves a great chance at a top 2
Could be a season defining game...

We blew our last two chances to go top of the ladder (Tigers and Bulldogs), let's hope not the third as it gives us a great chance to go top 2 due to our high % (and Hawthorn's low %).

Not to mention the fact that no team has displayed the sort of dominance that makes them a fair bet for September.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

So we drop 4 spots with one loss, when 1st spot was up for grabs.
But then the 2 teams below us. WC and the Cats both won and still dropped a spot, thanks to a big win by GWS.

                Feel better?

                  Will Richmond finish 9th?
                  That's the most important thing.

                  No.
First spot was up for grabs.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Now GWS win and Geelong win, but still drop a spot.
