    2005 qualifying

Play our hearts out and lose thanks to a dubious free kick against Leo Barry.

The next 3 weeks we came from behind in the last quarter to win.

This season, particularly tonight reminds me of this. We've been in every game bar the gws game up until the few seconds. It's going to take a hell of an effort to beat us in the finals, especially if luck starts to go our way.

This pain should drive the players and we wouldn't want it too easy anyway...we play better as underdogs.

You're very generous using the word "dubious" to describe that decision. It was a complete and utter howler - the worst umpiring decision I've seen in 55 years of following the Bloods! But yes, we were good enough to overcome it!!
