I didn't ask what type of membership you had, but, thanks - it's handy to know.
I'm very satisfied with your reply - it gives me a clearer insight to your posts - e.g. spoke to Jude at post match function, hugged Teddy, anyone going to ... function, etc.
Suggest, however, you show a little more respect to genuine Swans "footy" fans.
Actually, she didn't just speak to Jude at the PMF.
He tapped her on the shoulder.
    He hugged and kissed her.
    Then they chatted.

You didn't actually ask whether Annie held a position at the club. Your question implied she must, and that was why she was guaranteed a GF ticket. You've now been informed this is not the case.

Any suggestion that Annie is not one of many "genuine Swans footy fans" that post on RWO is also way wide of the mark.
      Liz - come on now.

"I'm a guaranteed club ticket". I, not knowing the inner club staffing structure, query if she holds a club position.
      o/k - now I know she doesn't - & I'm extremely pleased.
When I mentioned genuine Swans "footy" fans, I'm thinking of those purely interested in on-field team matters (not behind the scenes matters).
I think your response was "way wide of the mark".

I really dislike it when people bring up nonsense like 'genuine swans fan' or 'genuine footy fan' etc - it is absolute rot that belongs on the world of Facebook and nowhere else. we are all fans of the Swans, hence why we post here - but there is in my book no real delineation that can be made in that category - certainly not along some nonsense category such as how 'genuine' a fan is or not.

I have been reading Annie's posts for years and there is no way you can say she isn't a genuine fan. She is a passionate supporter who enjoys the team both on AND off the field.

Anyway...I'm curious to know whether anyone on here who has a GWS membership would purchase a GF ticket if they made the GF? (This is only hypothetical as the swans are going to make it of course ????).

I don't have a GWS membership, but if I was in that situation, I'd only do it if I could make a pretty penny off it, flogging it off to some other sod Unless of course it was a situation of a GWS vs Swans grand final, and I wasn't a Premiership Club member (so hence wasn't guaranteed a ticket), or alternatively if I wanted to find another ticket for someone else to go as well.

Actually, I think my second membership is premiership club.

Guess which is the better seat on grand final day?

I hold 4 GWS memberships and 4 Swans Premiership Club memberships and in answer to your question, if GWS make the big dance and we don't, then yes I intend to puchase my entitled 4 tickets, buy 4 GWS scarves and be a crazy Giants fan for a day.
If both clubs make it, I have friends who have already claimed my GWS memberships and plan on going, BUT on the proviso that they support the Swans on the day for they know life would not be worth living for them if they don't!

I don't have a GWS membership, never have and never will. Cant believe any genuine Swans supporter would barrack for the AFL lovechild team.

You'll have to believe it, as some of us clearly would support them. I'll never cheer them on ahead of us, but they're another Sydney (and Canberra) club and I wish them well. They're also great to watch and they have Mummy.

If you held a position at the Club, & were given unwarranted preferential treatment over members & supporters, it would mean a hell of a lot to me - the Club I love would lower itself to AFL/Collingwood level?

I am with MCS here. This point scoring thing about who is or isn't a "genuine" fan or supporter. C'mon people, we can better than that.
There are plenty of bloated and deserving targets like Eddie, Gillon, Dermott, Hawthorn etc that are much more fun to hoe into.

Let me let you in on a little secret... if we make the grand final, the staff of the club and the families of the players are given tickets from the club allocation BEFORE anyone else. And before you hark on, it's not "unwarranted preferential treatment" - it's a reward for all of the hard work they do behind the scenes making sure YOU have a great experience at the club.

                              Are you even a member?

Sounds like you're just being a jealous little sooky la la. I've been a member of this club for 20 years - a redback for at least 7 of those - of course the players are going to know me.
I've missed ONE home game in all that time. How many home games have you missed? I go to all of the big functions. I support the club where they need it the most... with my wallet.

If you want to be uppity, demanding I explain my entitlement, then put me down again once I have done so, then yes, I will treat you like dirt.

Think of it this way. The Swans are Bernie Sanders, GWS is Hilary Clinton, and Hawthorn are Trump. If Bernie can't win, then it's OK to support Hilary to help defeat the evil empire.
