I would keep Naismith in over Nankervis.
My only concern is Sam's fitness. Is his slight drop off due to a lack of match fitness seeing as he has had injury interrupted career so far And if that is the possible case you wouldn't want to run with two partially fit rucks in Tippo and Naismith. Then again I may be way off the mark and Sam & Tippo will be great combination.
Richards needs to stay. Our defence has been solid all year, our midfield is pretty much the best in the league, our foward line ... The addition of X, Rohan staying fit and Heeney returning to form has now given us a dynamic forward line to complete our team. X needs to stay.

To be honest I'm interested to see Naismith test himself against one of the benchmark ruckmen in the comp! Hopefully he can hold his own and learn playing against one of the best!

Goldstein has been very below par ever since he got a knock to the knee against us in round 10 so it whilst Naismith might gain some great experience, I don't think we can use his performance vs an injured Goldstein to tell us where he is at.

That is an interesting prospect. I would play Naismith to see how he goes against Goldy. Yea Goldy has appeared a little injured. Naismith was well beaten in the air last week by hickey and that was even with hickeys first quarter injury but Naismith has shown he's our best tap ruckman and I think he would benefit immensely from the experience of playing against Goldstein.

I don't think playing either nanka or Naismith will alter the outcome of the game so it's more a matter of which player gains the most benefit and experience going forwards and I think that's big Sam

With the way Naismith and Nankervis have been going, and NicNat looking to miss all of next year, why don't we offer Sinclair back to the WC Eagles. He seemed to like it there and now they need him more than we do. He would be a walk up starter next year, yet for us, I would say he will drop to 4th in line behind Nanka. We could take another ruckman in the rookie draft. 4 is enough IMO. It would free up some cap space as well. I think he might be on around 400k for 4 years.

How are you going to convince the Eagles to take on his contract? I assume it's significantly larger than what he was on at Eagles.

We could offer to relieve them of Jetta's contract obligations (and relocate him back to Sydney). I know it was just one game, but his efforts against the Dawks last Friday night were terrific - pace, skills AND high pressure.

An audition for a move back east?

The same way I convinced Eddie McGuire to take Jesse White:

Guile and Trickery with a dash of Vickery.

Well, since you're claiming special powers, can you pull off this trade: Tom Derickx to Collingwood? Er, with something in return.

Not special powers. Just a myth I've been cultivating for several years. If I say it often enough, in due course it might become an established fact.

I've been talking to Eddie about replacing Sam Newman with Tom Derickx on the Footy Show. Tom is so much funnier and much better footballer.

Being much funnier than Sam Bitteroldman isn't a huge achievement. Bowel cancer is much funnier than Sam.
