    Not me.

Yes, stevo, sometimes it is quite fun to take a bit of time out from one's busy schedule, and to commit to the important task of making angry little men angrier.

I didn't know that Bogota was the most livable city in the world. JPK's not going anywhere. I think Ana has got a lot of her family and Colombiana amigas settled down in Sydney who have business interests in Sydney as well, although losing Michael Talia as a customer may hurt a bit.

Yes, rational argument can be time consuming. Especially on social media forums, where maybe you might get through to one or two people, but in the meantime, another horde pops up: most of them inspired by a particular tabloid commentator or talkback host. In the end, I wasn't really trying to change anyone's mind. I was operating more on the principle, that many people were probably behaving in a mob like manner, because they wanted social acceptance and pleasurable positive feedback, for mindlessly regurgitating bigoted talking points. So generally, I was just trying to make sure that they got some unpleasant negative feedback; which possibly would make them a little bit less willing to sprout such garbage in the future.

Here here! For every 10 bigots out there who pass their opposition off as 'pinko losers', one may actually get the point and change. We can only hope.

The post goodes-booing wash up is out of our 3 aboriginal boys one went into early retirement (goodes), one missed a final series due ro depression (buddy) and one asked to be traded home (jetta).
              Coincidence? . No.

Did the club or fellow players do enough to support these boys?

I think as a team the captains should have walked the team off during a game.

It's a hard one. A walk off certainly would have made an impact and a profound statement, but I fear the Melbourne media, or at least the 'usual suspects' who started the anti Goodes sentiment, would have ultimately made it a very negative outcome/experience for our club......not to mention the a fore mentioned social media trolls, who would have gone 'stone dumb' ballistic!

Goodsey's time was up, and Jetta had wanted to head back to WA for a good while. Buddy's issues were likely related to what had gone on but I wouldn't think lack of support from within the club were the cause.

And all three of them are men.

From a performance perspective I think Goodsey was playing well enough last year to definitely consider going around again this year. In 2015 (21 games out of a possible 24) he averaged just under 16 disposals a game and kicked a very handy 25 goals for us. He was a very durable player. Only once in his seventeen seasons did he play less than 19 games. Only he and those closest to him will know for sure how much the disgraceful treatment he endured played a part in his decision to retire. My guess is that it played a big part. His decision to not attend the Grand Final parade of retiring players just says it all.

Yes, goodes was senr to an early retirement. How could the treatment of goodes not effect the other aboriginal players in the team.

Last weeks pride game did a lot of good things for the LGBTIQ community and people praised Nicky Winmar for making his stance with his son, it would have been interesting if Adam had been playing and was a vocal supporter of it.

I boo players based on individual circumstances. Having said that, I wouldn't boo and ex-Swan unless he'd trashed us or held us to ransom. Otherwise I generally only boo opposition players who have committed a dirty act against one of our blokes during a match. Any opposition player lining up for goal gets general "encouragement" from the crowd though, as they should.
