The booing wouldn't bother him, as I suspect him and Mitchell are psychopaths (Seriously).

Most teams have an indigenous favourite son who could have delivered the same message.

I was overseas for the worst of it, so was observing from afar, but I saw diddly squat from the other indigenous players and that annoyed me. Rant over.
Agree 100% with this - whilst Bob Murphy and the Richmond players did their bit - the likes of Those you mentioned did nothing. Perhaps scared of the response they'd get but by being quiet about it they didn't help their "brother" at all. I got a bloke ejected from a box at Adelaide oval (he was a port supporter) the things he was shouting out were appalling - so I got security - the guy gave me a gob full on his way out and I reckon given the chance he would hv hit me (and I'd have kicked him fair on in the nuts!!) but the majority in the room (which held about 100) were happy that someone took a stand.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

This is what annoys the crap out me about those two - they are absolute thugs on the field but because they are "allegedly" real nice blokes off it - it seems what they do on the field is acceptable - which is just a load of bollocks as far as I'm concerned.

          Good on you.

I am fortunate never to have been in close earshot of anything obnoxious. I'd like to think I would act if I ever were, but I imagine it can be quite intimidating to do so and until I'm actually in that situation, I can't be sure that I'd do the "right thing". I've lots of respect for you that you did.

Well, that's my 'amateur psychologist from afar' opinion too. And with them being twenty points down against the Eagles as I type, I expect the cheap shots to start anytime soon.

Its interesting to note how much residual pain and disgust is still being experienced by Swans fans around this issue. I certainly fall into this category. Last year was was the most difficult season to get through. Far worse than the 92-94 wooden spoon run.

There were 5 teams in my reckoning that were particularly abhorrent - West Coast, Hawthorn, Freo, North and Collingwood. I switched off completely when it got to the Prelim Final stage and four of these sides were battling it out for a spot in the GF. i watched neither PF or the GF. I didn't know who had played in the GF or won it until the following Thursday until i heard someone blurt out the result at work. This is the only time in my life that I haven't watched the Grand Final.

This year i couldn't care less about the results of games that feature any two of these teams. I just hope for high injury counts. Watching the Freo spiral has brought much joy, as has Collingwood's continual slide into oblivion. May it long continue. Hopefully North misses out altogether and the other two have early exits from the finals.

I'm not convinced that Aboriginal players from other teams speaking out would have made a difference to the bigots. More likely it would have placed them in a position of vulnerability. I've always advocated walk off initiated by the captains. Not just our captains but the opposition captain needed to have buy in as well. If there is no footy for the bigot hordes to watch, it becomes pretty pointless being there.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

I reported a ferral young (mid 20s) Hawks supporter at 1/2 time of the 2014 GF. He was obnoxious and vitriolic. Worse still was directed at any Swans supporter in earshot. An elderly gentleman next to me suggested he quiet down a little & the Hawk supporter gave him a mouthful.

No security came at any stage of the game. The result was bad enough. That idiot made the day intolerable.

Ted Bundy was a nice guy too.

That's basically a characteristic in all psychopaths, they're all quite charming, to mask their lack of empathy and guilt. They 'fake' their emotions. And I seriously doubt Hodge and Mitchell have remorse for anything they do on-field and seem to laugh that @@@@ off like they did nothing wrong.

What I saw from Hawks supporters in Grand Final week 2014 pretty much disgusted me. I'll never be sympathetic to their club ever again because of it. No class at all. Truly horrible supporters.

From that time on, the gloves have been off. I'll hold a grudge for life.
