Still think Gws if they make top 4 and otherwise the crows but tbh I think that's more based on lowering expectations after 2014

Geelong are pretenders, Hawks (hopefully) on the slide.

        I'm still shell-shocked from 2014 so I can't argue with him.

Just before the start of his last year as coach of Carlton, he said it was difficult to pinpoint games that the Blues would lose.
He's not a real good judge.

As bad as the 2014 GF was, it was one game 2 years ago where we just couldn't get our hands on the footy, and it was over from there given Hawthorn's foot skills.

That side was in the middle of a 3-peat which is not incidental either.

And our midfield from 2012 was essentially the same in 2014 anyway - if it is specifically GF performances he's assessing.

Hawthorn were being considered underachievers, can't handle big games etc after 2012 - you can actually learn your lessons and come back from it.

Ignore the merits of the argument.

Remember above all, Mick's coaching last year. A senile, useless, deranged, feed-the-seagulls-chips, old, case-for-euthenasia git.

                  Well I don't like Mick - he's a silly old dick!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

+1 But I believe the boys have redeemed themselves since then.

                      How??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????

The only way they can redeem themselves is an equally humiliating win against the Hawks in a Grand Final.

A couple of pissy home and away wins at the beginning of the season do not count at all. At the very least we need to end their season in a final in a belting. I'll take nothing less. Until then I'll keep being bitter. We'll never live it down.

significant injuries to nicnac-seglar for both contending teams

With roughie out most of the season he is a significant loss for the Hawks come finals

With tippo back and marsh Laidler and Mcglynn now available our depth is looking even better

I hate to admit it but after today's performance, Mick is probably right.

I thought we showed some real grit to hold on - something missing earlier in the season.

I get where malthouse is coming from - we have to prove it on the biggest stage that we are over 2014. But weve done everything that we could have so far this season!
