McGlynn dined out against the witches hats. Played well.

You couldn't drop him on that but his form against anyone semi decent (including two very poor finals in 2015) is still concerning.

With Mills a certainty to come back, there will be a few unlucky players who miss out. One of the Harrys is likely to make way for Mills, but I suspect it is neck and neck between Cunningham and Marsh.

It was unfortunate for Towers that the NEAFL team didn't play at the weekend, as he didn't get an opportunity to push his case for a recall. He'll still be in the mix though, and Papley might get anxious. I think Papley's better ability to put on forward line pressure might earn him the nod.
      Totally agree.

I don't think Towers offers enough pressure for finals footy. You want players who can stick tackles.

I'm just giving the nod to Marsh over Cunningham. If we were playing a shorter side, like Hawthorn, I would probably go with Cunningham, who could play as a tagger on Hill. GWS have 3 very tall forwards plus Stevie J and Griffin who offen push forward. With zone defensing, it's easy to get mismatches and I would prefer to have Marsh than Cunningham in these situations. If we lose to GWS we will likely face another tall forward line in Adelaide. Marsh was a bit fumbley on Saturday, but maybe it was the dewy ground.

GWS have a stacked forward line and the Harry that remains will have to play on one of their smalls in Johnson Smith or Greene. For that reason I'd select Marsh over Cunningham as he is clearly the better defender

I would pick Marsh as well - will be interesting to see if either of them are named in the ressies team for the weekend.

True but he did a lot more then Papley.

In 2015 he was coming back from injury then so unfair to base it all on that.

Changes this week should be simple, Mills for Marsh.

Cunningham is quick and will be very useful against Smith or Greene. I will back him in but he needs to play well to keep his spot for the 2nd final.

              .

Jones is available by the looks of things.
              Cunningham looks sub par

Tough call on Cunningham, he must have played nearly every game this year, only to be dropped for finals (if it happens)
Which is why I'm not a selector
