Reminds me so much of the Goodsey situation - especially the way it is so hard to pinpoint a real reason for the antipathy the people feel towards the (black) protestor.
That is an interesting article. I was struck by the lady's comment that: "This guy doesn?t seem to have a personality about him. He?s not personable." Shades of the moronic callers to SEN who kept saying Adam Goodes was "just a flog" rather than dare articulate what was really bugging them.
However, I don't agree with your comment that "it is so hard to pinpoint a real reason for the antipathy the people feel towards the (black) protestor." It is because they stage for free kicks isn't it?

Re Goodes, off topic, I have a feeling he got married last weekend (based on a couple of bits of circumstantial evidence). Does anyone know? There's been no public comment but then I could well understand he would want to keep such a deeply personal event private.

Not that it is any of my business. Just that more than just about anyone else I could name he deserves the greatest of happiness. (And he was reported some time ago as saying both he and Natalie wanted children - and we want some Goodes' sons!).

Meg I'm sure I remember reading a couple of weeks ago that his wedding was coming up very soon. (It might have been when he was interviewed at the David Jones fashion show). He said it would be private and that it would be small with only close family and friends attending. I'm sure Micky O would have been there ????.

Makes sense as Maj is both close friend and family.

Now. Hurry up and make baby boy Goodesys.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Thanks, I think last Saturday might be right then. It was the bye w/e and each of McVeigh, KJack (or at least their partners) and Ted Richards had photos on their Instagram accounts saying they were off to a Palm Beach wedding on Saturday night. They would be the current players Goodes is probably closest. I hope Adam and Natalie had a beautiful and joyous day.

I'm pretty sure it was a double wedding. My wife teaches Michael O'Loughlin's daughter at her pre-school and his partner said they were going to honeymoon with Adam and his partner in Hawaii.

It was Andrew Pridhams wedding - Barry hall was there too.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
