No, I think It would be sweeter to put the Hawks out in a Prelim, assuming we win tomorrow and they beat the Dogs, and not even let them have a crack at the GF. I'd be happier playing the Cats in the big one, again assuming that's how it unfolds. Agree though, more than happy for the Dogs to send them packing in straight sets. A fascinating finals series lies ahead of us........

Yes, the whole football world mourns as one, at the demise of a great and beloved champion.

It's ok if it's in the non-Swans threads pages where it should be.

You are questioning what most people regard as Collingwood's raison d'?tre ?
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

                      I enjoyed that.

Now to focus on the next game and not speculate overmuch. As the team will do I assume.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I hate that swans may have to be the team that stops hawks from getting to GF

I think the universe is at peace with that.

I didn't think either team looked that flash hot, not even in patches. The commentators kept going on about what a great match it was, but I think that was only because it was close. I don't think it will go down as a finals classic.

In terms of who we meet when and where, to win a premiership you have to beat some pretty good teams along the way. Hawthorn in a PF in Sydney (if we win today) isn't that scary a prospect. On recent form I think we stack up well. The only thing I want to avoid is playing the Hawks in the GF. The unpleasant memories of 2014 (not just the Swans poor performance but the obnoxicity of the Hawks supporters) is too raw. I can cope with us losing in a GF to anyone else (or being knocked out before the GF by anyone). But not a GF loss to the Hawks. Not this year.
