Tony Abbott doesn't give a toss about AFL but it was a truly bizarre spend of AFL money when they had a club on death's door at Campbelltown. And the Manly players frigging hate the branding as well but they accept that it's $10,000 a year they won't have to pay in fees and chook raffles

Though I do remember Abbott claiming that he was a GWS fan and that he had a GWS jumper on his wall, but unfortunately, further on in that statement, he got their colours wrong. If I remember rightly, he thought that yellow was their main colour.
Damn, I'm now spending time trying to work out what Abbott really thinks: which is probably an impossible task.

Talking of politicians, Chris Bowen, who is the shadow Treasurer and whose electorate is centred around Fairfield appears to be an actual GWS fan, as he sits with his son wearing Giants gear in the Members Reserve section at Spotless.

Well, now we know that there's at least 2 GWS fans, who aren't out of work actors and extras, being paid to attend their games by the AFL.

I can beat that - I saw Hugo Weaving wearing Swans gear at the SCG at our last H&A match.

I think he is a bit confused, he should be at a wanderers game trying to win votes. He will be lucky to attain 3 new voters at a GWS game.

I once heard (or read) David Wenham wax lyrically about his love for the Swans too.

Wenham sat for many years with Geraldine Doogue (the former ABC newsreader) in the "arts section" of the Brewongle. She has probably had the same seats for twenty years.

Deborah Mailman - I'm not generally a consumer of stand-up comedy (and I know she's far more than that) but I did once catch a ten or so minute routine by her while flicking channels. Pretty much every second thing she said was along the lines of "oh, did I mention how much I love the Swans?"

Summer Bay's Irene is another most Swans fans would know about - actually the actress but her surname escapes me. (Lynn Something)

Edit: It's come to me - Lynn Grainger

Hugh Jackman is a swans supporter too.

Yes she is a passionate supporter. She sat in front of me during the 2014 preliminary. She was the one getting the chants going!!
