The Swans have brought me great joy over the years (and some heartache, well lots of heartache.....I'm 56!), but Aliir's story is one of the most joyous Swans stories I have witnessed. Agree with Levii3 on Kinnear Beatson, the guy is a genius and we are damn lucky to have him.....and he is to be thanked for bringing this gem that is Aliir Aliir, to our club..

I know how you feel, there is just something joyous about the way the fearless and totally instinctive way he plays.

What is interesting is the way that some of the hard heads in the media talk about him, guys like Dermie who although an idiot at times do know a hell a lot about footy and you listen when they are serious. They are all beyond the novelty value and human story factor, they are just blown away by his footy smarts for a guy of that experience.

If there was a 'Handball of the year' award surely Aliir would have snagged that???

          He's got the best hands.
          Ever.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The widespread praise for Aliir has been great to see - as you say its far beyond just the novelty value and human story, but mainly reflecting just how good a footballer he is. I hope his upwards trajectory can continue - imagine how good he might just be when he hits 100+ games.
