Hanners has an MCL sprain & will probably be braced for 6 weeks or so, should be ok to go by preseason.

The shoulder recon for Sam could be incentive for Nank to stay as it'll be a minimum few months recovery for Sam (& then however long his head catches up to his body's recovery).

I find it fascinating that there is continues criticism of Tippett, yet Reid seems to just fly on past under the radar.

Reid only gets paid half as much.

So he gets a hall pass?
In the games they have played, I would suggest that Tippett has been worth twice as much. Easily.

I think 2017 is a huge year for Reid. He needs to get fit, stay fit and fulfill his potential. Otherwise I wonder, should the right replacement be available, whether we might say enough is enough.

The injury to Naismith is a worry - last thing he needs is another interrupted pre-season, as I am hoping he can find another level, building on his good second half of the season.

Didn't we pay overs to keep Reid away from GWS? Because we thought he would be the next dominant forward in the game like a Tom Lynch.

Getting Tippett and Bud has hindered his development along with his ongoing injuries. Has kicked 20+ goals only twice in his career the last time was 2012 when he kicked 31 (highest tally).

Kennedy, Heeney and Reid (Free Agent) are out of contract next year. Sam needs to take a pay cut in his next contract.

Sam won't be taking a pay cut at Collingwood.

Can you point out to me where Kurt is worth 3-400k more than Sam? I will concede we are wasting a large chunk of our salary cap on players that can't stay on the ground. I'd be happy to trade them both.

Agree. And didn't we say this at the start of 2016 ... and 2015?? I'm losing patience but also don't see a lot of trade value now.

Not if you're only going to look at stats...

ie: I could bring up a whole different set of stats, that would make him look like a superstar and Reid a bum.
For starters, lets compare ruck duties...
