Sydney Uni will be a very powerful NEAFL side in 2-3 years once they start collecting the Academy kids. And fair enough too as they are the alternate pathway in Sydney.

My understanding of the NDS is that they allow academy kids an extra year when they are 19 years old to continue their development and maybe get drafted and that after that they must be let go.

Swans effectively have to draw on their non playing senior listed and rookie players, Under 18 academy topups and their over-age academy players.

    Seems pretty fair to me/

Great that he's playing. His AFL experience will be of benefit you'd think. I think that's a big part of what the academy is about. Sure a feeder for us, but strengthening second tier comps by those who don't make it with us.

Does anyone watch Sydney Uni play or is anyone going to the Swans v Syd Uni game on March 18?
