    That thing

Really just seems like an administrative error. They should just reach out to Essendon and ask them to foot the bill.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I'm disappointed to hear that Luke Parker didn't disclose. (Not surprised that Franklin didn't.)
@@@@ - the bad look for the Club continues!

      Seems a fairly innocuous problem.

Misleading headline too. Each player copped $5k which is about the limit where they have to be seen to do something.

Continues from where? Where did this "bad look" start?

In reading the article, I'm not sure if the onus is on the player or the medical staff to correctly do the paperwork.

The headline of the article gets your heart racing.

What are you trying to imply? The AFL has emphasised that this was an unintended administrative oversight. And that the Swans doctor has kept meticulous records.

Sure does. Fair play to Fairfax, they know clickbait. Substitute "medical documentation" for "drug rules", who's going to read that.

Ouch - we won't make that error again! Buddy & Parks probably forgot in the aftermath of the GF.

As for the headlines - disgraceful, but what we've come to expect from trash media.

Wonder how this is being commented on over on BF, be the usual gutter rats taking cheap shots no doubt.

This incident is not a good look.

Sydney sanctioned for finals error - sydneyswans.com.au

In this case, the AFL notes that the Club Doctor maintained his own thorough medical records of treatments legitimately provided to players. However, Clubs must also maintain such records on the Controlled Treatments Register database to enable the AFL to proactively monitor industry trends and target test players as required.

I would imagine the onus is on the club. It sounds like we kept all records we just didn't inform WADA. A minor oversight, players took legal drugs under supervision of a Doctor. The worst thing about this story is the headline, it'll pass very quick

No, nothing to do with WADA. WADA is not interested in cortisone as it is allowed to be used. But apparently Swans should have put it on an AFL database used for monitoring medical treatments and overlooked doing so. An administrative error.

The worst headline is actually on the AFL website and app. It is a disgrace. Hope the club lodges a complaint.
