Troy Luff Medal 2017 Troy Luff Medal: vote each round post-match for @sydneyswans best and fairest

The annual Troy Luff Medal is awarded to the Sydney Swans' best and fairest, as voted by you. To cast your vote, click on the "TLM Voting" link in the nav above or click here. Award three votes to the player you believe was best on ground, followed by two votes and one vote for the next two players respectively.

The winner of the 2016 Troy Luff Medal was Dan Hannebery. To review the season and voting, round-by-round, see this thread. Winner of the 2016 Troy Luff Medal - Dan Hannebery

    Some history on the award:
In 2002, the Troy Luff Medal began informally, with people nominating their top 3 or 5 players each week after the match. The idea grew more and more popular and it was decided to instigate the fans? Best and Fairest award.

The winners of the Troy Luff Medal have also been the Swans Best and Fairest winners up until 2007, and have consistently polled well in media awards and the Brownlow Medal, some even winning it.

The organisers decided to name the award the Troy Luff Medal in recognition of Troy?s service to the Club and his support for the RWO - RedAndWhiteOnline.com website and because of his 110% effort always when playing for the Swans.

The award is for the best player throughout the year, as judged by those fans who participate in the RWO - RedAndWhiteOnline.com community. Each week, fans award 3, 2, 1 votes. These votes are tallied and points allocated to the top 5 players each week.

Voting is secret. The top five players in contention are revealed each week with the number of votes for each unknown (players are listed in surname order). Results for each round are posted in this thread when voting closes a week later. The overall winner is revealed at the end of the year.

To help ensure a representative award, vote early and vote often, each week! If you miss a round, including the first round, don't stress, just continue voting the next round.

Check back here for round-by-round results and commentary!

How come Harry Cunningham's name wasn't on the TLM list for the GWS game? He (and Hanners) did top our tackle count!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Looks like it hasn't been updated correctly. It still says round 4 (though does list the opponent as GWS) and I see that Dawson is still on the list, even though it's been a couple of rounds since he played. I'll go in and fix it up.

OK, the TLM seems to have had a bit of a mishap. I don't think we have votes for round 4 (against West Coast). I have reset the voting sheet to correctly set it to round 5 against GWS and to reflect the players who played.

If you think you've already voted for round 5 in the last couple of days, please vote again. Whatever you lodged is recorded against round 4 but with an incorrect list of players.

Maybe we can reset round 4 voting for a couple of days later in the week to give people a chance to re-lodge votes for that game.

                              Bump.

Just another reminder to vote before tomorrow lunchtime if you can bear to think back to last weekend. We only have seven voters at the moment.

If you're not sure whether you've already voted, just try. The system won't let you vote twice.
