A nice calm day at the MCG for the Mediocrity Cup! Ground looks a picture and ready for a game full of shambolic attempts at football skills.

Hopefully Swannies by plenty, but got a feeling it may be close.

Woo hoo we are only playing one ruckman. We'll have more run
But Reid may have to play in the ruck and as a tall defender. He's going to be busy!
Let's hope Tippo doesn't get up next week and they give Cameron a go

Happy to see Rose get a game. Hope he brings some intensity.

Not sure why people are happy Tippet is out. Our forward structure works a lot better when Tippett, Buddy and Reid are lurking. When they're not in the forward line we kick to nothing. Take a look at the first 5 minutes of last week and us before Tippet got injured against the dogs.

Also, only having our third Ruck option is hurts. Sometimes structures work better than the players themselves.

He's been pretty average, so I can understand people's attitude to giving Rose a go and dropping Tip

Last week 1 kick 4 handballs. I reckon that could have something to do with it.

There's bugger all people here. Bottom of the table clash... and now a hovercraft on the field. Perfect [emoji23]

Dont knock the hovercraft - that may prove to be the highlight of the day we also saw a Ranga Rally earlier in Fed Square - some strange sights for a Saturday arvo at the MCG!

Yeah crowd very poor. Though ordinary weather most of the morning. Brought my 7yo for his1st live game. Hopefully he will be a good luck charm. Go Swannies.

BT making out that Buddy punched Silvagni in the nose. I bet he's exaggerating.

That's why Grundy no longer plays in the forward line. That was a sitter.

Geez it hurts having so many experienced leaders having such poor skills! Those should have been 2 easy goals kicked!

It's a surprisingly open, uncongested game so far. I like the way we're playing on quickly.

An in form Tippo should be in the side but he's woefully out of form and a passenger
