Newman is going to be a good player. He has made mistakes but also created a bit too. For God's sake Horse, give him 5-6 games in a row to prove himself.

Hewett a bit more effective this week - been pretty good. Parker great - Kennedy even better.

Mistakes happen for the new players in the snr team. A bad game here and there. I'm patient hence my post supporting them to respond not just the sentence u picked

I want the keep lifting and be the players we need and in a season like this one let's be patient with AA, Newman, marsh, Melican, Hayward, Florent etc

Give them game time and let them rise up bit by bit via snr game time

Hanners is looking to be moving the best I have seen him so far this year. he is getting into good spaces and disposing much better.

Some of the negative remarks on Newman are really dumb.

He was in 2 situations that resulted in goals:

1. He took a shoulder to the head and should have received a free kick. In any case, he should have rushed the ball for a behind.
2. He was simply outplayed by Hrovat who had the better position to mark the ball. Okay. He was outplayed, like that has never happened to any defender before.

He's not a dour 1 on 1 defender and tends to use a few tricks to win the ball, but he should be in the side as an offensive defender, something we really need.

Jake Lloyd, perhaps our best player this year and one of my favourites, deserves a lot more criticism. He made 2 errors that led to goals.

Newman has got better as the games gone on. Someone needs to tell Naismith he needs to go with Goldstein when he goes forward.

Nope he's been very effective. Just some on here marking him hard due to having a couple of goals kicked on him as a defender.

Time for Melican, marsh and Newman to not go into their shell

We need them more then ever today to stand up even though they are struggling

Newman and melican have got some talent, there is no question on that but their defensive skills needs some serious work!
